The Cannon Point Danger Point Peninsula (Kawau)– Cannon Hill Estate

The magnificent property of Cannon Hill is offered to the market, either as 2-3 sections of considerable individual stature (more information to follow), or as an extraordinary whole.

Enjoy the sort of views only available in a handful of places in the world, but also enjoy the sub-tropical climate and beautiful beaches.

The Cannon Hill Estate has various levels of vegetative cover, from pasture and tussock to quite good regenerating forest. Parts of the old farm have been planted with native trees to encourage the return of native birds, but the peninsula's forests will continue to grow and support an array of wildlife. The meadows of poa cita tussock on Cannon Point, above the ancient pa site, are quite outstanding.

The Danger Point peninsula has been identified as an area of particular natural beauty and is the biodiversity engine for the rest of the peninsula. Given an agreed sale of 2-3 individual properties rather than the entire peninsula, it would be possible to preserve the Danger Point title by covenant, and to open its walkways. Naturally the various owners of the peninsula would be the primary beneficiaries of this amenity, with no loss of privacy.

Controlling the environment for introduced pests could allow the reintroduction of iconic (perhaps endangered) native species to the new owners' (or owner's) properties.

This double headed peninsula is a very special landform with a deep human history of tremendous interest, from the earliest human settlement of Aotearoa/New Zealand.

These properties represent a unique investment opportunity. There is also considerable potential for tourism, perhaps even in tandem with the St Kilda Estate.
